Born in Attleboro, Mass., Steve Arntson moved with his family to Seattle early in life and attended the University of Washington. Steve later moved to California to teach piano, working at Sonoma State as the Music Department's staff accompanist. He discovered poetry readings in San Francisco and gradually began writing and performing his own work. He has been a member of the Waverley Writers for ten years, and recently contributed work to the anthology Cuts from the Barbershop, edited by Liz Henry and Robert Pesich.
